"...Krzywicki's musical language is dissonant and flies in the face of minimalist and post-minimalist trends. In these persuasive performances, it is a highly expressive language. The kaleidoscopic String Quartet (1993-94) is the most riveting work on the disc....Most of the music is anguished, but the work ends in a sorrowful mood that reflects the sadness Krzywicki felt about his father's death a few months earlier. I cannot imagine a more passionate, committed reading than this one by the Colorado Quartet...."
